How To Reach Manas National Park
Manas National Park is located in the state of Assam in India and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To reach Manas National Park, you can follow these general guidelines:
By Air: The nearest major airport to Manas National Park is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (Guwahati Airport), which is approximately 150 kilometers away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach the park.
By Train: The nearest railway station to Manas National Park is Barpeta Road Railway Station, which is about 20 kilometers from the park. You can also reach Kokrajhar Railway Station, which is approximately 80 kilometers away. From the railway station, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach the park.
By Road: Manas National Park is well-connected by road. You can drive to the park from nearby cities and towns. The park has several entry gates, and the most commonly used gate is the Bansbari Gate, which is approximately 176 kilometers from Guwahati. The park can also be accessed from the Panbari and Bhuyanpara gates.
From Guwahati: Guwahati is the major gateway to Assam. You can take National Highway 31 from Guwahati to reach Manas National Park. The journey takes around 3-4 hours.
From Barpeta: If you’re coming from Barpeta, take the NH31 and drive for about 1-2 hours to reach the park.
